Myanmar: Bagan to Yangon

While cycling in the Philippines we met  Kjell and Andrea and having swapped email addresses thought nothing more of it. Several months later we received an email from them asking if we would like to join them on a tour to mystical Myanmar.  Life is too short to pass up such opportunities and before we knew it the planning was under way.

It would be the first time that we had ever toured with another couple so it was a new experience for us.

Myanmar really is still a wonderful place to visit, although a little more difficult for cycle touring.

Read about some of the issues when travelling there at: Bicycling Magnificent Myanmar

For clarity's sake we have divided our trip account into a number of sections:

Quote: "and took a 50,000 Kyat, ($5) note out of his wallet."
That note doesn't exist in Burma. You mean a 5000kyat note = 5$

Nice blog !
